French Woods Farm is minutes from the Delaware river, where you’ll find canoeing, rafting, tubing and what is considered  “the best fly fishing in the USA.”  The rivers, streams, lakes and ponds that surround Hancock are teaming with brook and brown trout, perch, bass, bullhead and eel. Our farmhouse is near top NY and PA summer camps. Our 11-acre property offers a private pond, a screened-in, wrap-around porch, sundeck and camp fire pit.  

Enjoy magnificent sunrises, sunsets and fall foliage while walking, biking, hiking or driving on our beautiful back roads. Visit the local farmers markets, distillery and brewery in nearby Callicoon. If golfing is your way of relaxing, there are five courses for you to enjoy around the area. 

Winter brings great fun in and near French Woods.  Snowshoers and Cross Country Skiers love our 11-acre farm and French Woods trails. For skiing and snowboarding, Elk Mountain, Big Bear and Holiday Mountain are located within a 15 to 45-minute drive. Snowmobilers have reclaimed the old railroad beds around Hancock, creating hundreds of miles of trails.
